The highly-anticipated Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be released Aug. 25 while its big brother Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will arrive on Sept. 2, according to a new leak that came out of the Chinese social media site Weibo.
Along with the rumored launch date, some of the specification of the upcoming Redmi 4 smartphone was also revealed. The device is said to feature a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display screen and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. Previous rumors indicated that the Redmi 4 smartphone would feature the Helio P10 processor.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone was spotted on benchmarking website GeekBench earlier this week. As per GeekBench listing, the upcoming device will feature a Snapdragon 625 processor - the successor to the Snapdragon 616 processor used on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone. It was also revealed that the processor is equipped with an octa-core Cortex-A53 SoC clocked at a speed 2GHz.
Specifications of the Mi Note 2 have also surfaced on the web, indicating the integration of Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB RAM. The smartphone will also boast a full metal body and can be priced at $375 for the 4GB variant. Xiaomi is also expected to launch a 6GB variant and its price could reach $405, the price should be higher than Xiaomi Mi5.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to feature a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It will pack 64GB of internal storage capacity and will be fuelled by a 3600mAh battery with support for Quick Charge.
However, the company Xiaomi has not yet announced officially about their upcoming series segments. All this information has been leaked online by some anonymous source. You can believe on 90% of this leak as there are still some speculations invariants of Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
