Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi Mix 2S will be released in April

Xiaomi is reportedly planning to hold an event in April to launch Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone alongside with Mi Mix 2S.

As per the leak, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will sport a 6.1-inch FHD+ display with 2160 x 1080p resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will run on MIUI 9.8.2.1 and will have 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Also, it will be backed by a massive 4400mAh battery and will come with a 16MP camera.

It is unclear at the moment whether the Chinese smartphone maker will bring the successor to the Mi Mix 2 in India or not as the first Mi Mix smartphone never made it to the domestic markets even though the Mi Mix 2 was launched in the country.

Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to come up with a 5.65-inch or a 5.99-inch Full HD+ bezel-less display with 1080×2160 resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and might be coupled with 8GB RAM. It perhaps makes Mi 7 the world’s first phone to come up in the pair of Snapdragon 845 and 8GB RAM. The smartphone will be company’s first to support wireless charging feature

Mi 7 might carry 16MP+16MP dual rear camera with 16MP sensor on the front. It will run on the Android Oreo-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box and powered by a 4480mAh battery. The phone is likely to cost around $500-$600.

Besides this, Xiaomi is also working on the Mi 7, the flagship smartphone from the company, slated to be launched in June this year. Recently, the company launched a few devices in India -- Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi TV 4 smart TV.
