Xiaomi launched the Mi5 Pro smartphone with 3D ceramic body back in February. Today, the company has released the White variant of the Xiaomi Mi5 Pro smartphone in China with 3D Glass body instead of the 3D ceramic body seen on the standard edition of the Mi 5 Pro. The White version of Mi 5 Pro also comes with a slight price cut and will be available at 2599 Yuan (approx $400 / Rs. 26,642) starting April 29th on Xiaomi's official website.
Specs remain the same as the ceramic version of the phone so you're looking at a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, Adreno 530 graphics, and 4GB of RAM. It has a 5.15-inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 resolution) resulting in 428 ppi and protected by Gorilla Glass 4.
On the camera department, the smartphone features a 16MP Sony Exmor IMX298 rear camera with 4-Axis OIS, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash and a 4MP front shooter for selfie lovers. The device comes with a beautiful design and also includes a physical home button that double's up as fingerprint sensor for extra security.
The Xiaomi Mi5 runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS skinned with Xiaomi's MIUI 7. The phone measures 144.5mm x 69.2mm x 7.25mm and it weighs in at 129g. It's reported that the 3D glass model can be more reliably produced than the ceramic model, enabling shipments to be met more easily.
The new 3D glass white version will be up for grabs on XiaomiDevice website from 10am (Chinese Standard Time) on April 29. Are you a potential buyer of this new slightly cheaper version of the phone?
