Xiaomi mobile is one of the most popular Chinese smartphone makers, and have made quite the impact in Western markets, even without officially selling their smartphones here. The Redmi Note 3 is one of those phones from Xiaomi that is pretty cheap. It sells right now for around $200 USD, and for what you get, that's an amazing price.
Now the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has gotten TWRP support. So if you've been looking to root your Redmi Note 3 and perhaps run a custom ROM on the device, now you have a custom recovery available to do just that. While the Redmi Note 3 does run MIUI, which is Xiaomi's own custom UI, it's not everyone's cup of tea, and some will definitely look at other custom ROMs to throw on there.
It should go without saying, but we'll say it anyways, rooting your phone will void your warranty. Once more, you'll need to unlock the bootloader before you can flash TWRP, and unlocking that bootloader will also void your warranty. So if you really want to dive into flashing custom recoveries, ROMs, and such on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro, you'll want to remember that first. Because if something goes wrong, Xiaomi won't replace or fix your phone for you.
Xiaomi, while being known for being a smartphone manufacturer, does make a ton of other products. In fact, just last week they announced a rice cooker. Seriously. Xiaomi creates all kinds of electronics now, they also have a few smart TV's available and a humidifier, which as you'd expect, is very common in China with the lack of quality air particularly in Beijing. The Xiaomi Mi5 was unveiled and released February, so it's not that old, and it can definitely stand toe-to-toe with a number of other flagships here in the US.
