Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro handset has just been spotted passing through China's TENAA, and Xiaomi new product launches will be held on November 24, the new product may be is Redmi Note 2 Pro.
The leaked image we saw last month indicated a fingerprint scanner at the back and a metal construction. The images included in the TENAA listing (shown above) confirm these features.
First off, the back is primarily made from metal, although it does seem to have color-matched plastic ‘windows' on the top and bottom. What's more, there's the aforementioned fingerprint sensor as well as a new pill-shaped dual LED flash below the camera. At 8.75mm thin, it looks like it'll be slightly thicker than the non-pro model and will be a few grams heavier too.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p Full HD resolution and an octa core 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz. There will also be 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable native storage, a 13 megapixel primary shooter, a 5 megapixel front facing lens, and even a fingerprint scanner. Rounding out the spec-list will be a 3060mAh juicer that should keep the lights on a long time, and Android Lollipop on board.
The fact the Redmi Note 2 Pro has been through its TENAA tests indicates an announcement may not be that far away. It's possible the phone may be shown off at the same time as the Xiaomi Mi 5, which is currently expected at the beginning of December. That's subject to change though, as the phone has been expected pretty much all year. Rumors are putting the Redmi Note 2 Pro's price around $170, which is approximately $50 more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 costs.
