Xiaomi will launch Xiaomi Redmi Pro on July 27 with OLED display. In a video teaser posted on Weibo, Xiaomi hints at use of OLED display with a celebrity chef preparing an OLED ping. Xiaomi has been using Samsung display panels for its smartphones and there is a possibility that Redmi Pro could feature a Super AMOLED display from Samsung. The latest shows proficient bokeh effect in photos thanks to the Pro's dual-camera setup.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro is already benchmarked on Geekbench. The Geekbench score suggests it will be powered by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Xiaomi could announce this phone with company’s latest MIUI 8 ROM.
According to XiaomiDevice, the company will launch two variants of Redmi Pro – one with 3GB RAM and other with 4GB RAM. The 3GB RAM will be powered by MediaTek Helio X20 SoC while the 4GB RAM will get slightly faster Helio X25 chipset.
Xiaomi is known to announce smartphone with MediaTek processors in China but often follows up with a Snapdragon version in other parts of the world.
For Xiaomi, Redmi Note 3 has been one of the most important smartphone in the past few month. According to a Antutu listing, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is the most popular smartphone in India, China, Hong Kong, Russia, Vietnam and Malaysia.
