We've recently seen the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 made official, so now it's time to start thinking of devices that might launch in early 2016. A device dubbed the Xiaomi Kenzo is the subject of a new benchmark spot, and there's speculation that this could be the upcoming Redmi 3.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the phone is codenamed as Xiaomi Kenzo and is sporting a six-core ARM CPU. It is being said that the phone has got a Snapdragon 618 processor under its hood, with two A72 cores and four A53 cores. The chip is made using a 28nm process, and the phone is running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The amount of RAM is given as 1855, which means that the phone is using a 2GB RAM chip.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 launched with the MTK Helio X10 chipset and models with 2GB of RAM, it stands to reason that this could be the Xiaomi Redmi 3. The RAM amount and SoC used fit a mid-range offering, and the Redmi Note line has recently been updated - that leaves only the smaller Redmi in need of a hardware refresh.
As this device has now made a benchmark appearance there are likely to be further leaks very soon. In the meantime we'd welcome your thoughts. Do you think the Xiaomi Kenzo will indeed turn out to be the Xiaomi Redmi 3? Xiaomi Mi5 will be released in January 21, Xiaomi Redmi 3 is likely to be released with Xiaomi Mi5 .
