Xiaomi had introduced a number of smartphones this year, and those were mostly entry-level and mid-range ‘Redmi’ devices. Now, Xiaomi did release three high-end smartphones as well, the Xiaomi Mi5 had landed back in February as the company’s flagship for 2016, and two additional premium offerings were introduced last month, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is a successor to the Mi 5, kind of, while the Mi 5s Plus is the company’s flagship phablet, at least until they release the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.

That being said, yet another ‘Mi 5’ smartphone has just leaked, the Mi 5c, which is also called the Xiaomi ‘Meri’, that is its codename, allegedly. Now, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice that this is an all-metal smartphone, and that is front side resembles the Mi 5 quite a bit, it actually seems identical at first. Now, the back side is a completely different story, however, it is not made out of glass or ceramic, but metal, and it is actually reminiscent of the iPhone 5(s). The physical home key is placed below the display, and it is quite thin, as it is on the Xiaomi Mi 5, while you’ll notice that it is flanked by two capacitive dots, those are two capacitive keys which are programmable inside of Xiaomi’s MIUI OS, we’re looking at back and overview buttons here. You’ll also notice that the phone’s power / lock and volume rocker keys are placed on its right-hand side.

As you might expect, the prices for the Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus do vary depending on which configuration you are after. However, the prices do not vary wildly with the most expensive Mi 5s Plus variant available for under $650 and the most affordable Mi 5s variant coming in at around $520. The good news is that if you are in the market for a new smartphone than both the Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus are currently available to pre-order through Xiaomi Device.
