Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Price, Specs Leaked Before Launch

Xiaomi is all geared up to unveil its most talked about Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on October 25 that will be the company’s latest flagship after Xiaomi Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus this year. While the company has confirmed of dual edge displays, other leaked specs still hang about to be speculation. The leaks have in fact spelled the price of the handset, while primary information suggests that this would be Xiaomi’s highest priced smart phone ever. The leaked price hints at $590 making it around Rs 39,500 in India.


This is still the highest price tag ever associated with a Xiaomi smartphone. Toutiao's latest leak claims that the price will be a little higher than what was rumoured previously. Just to recall, the last leak claimed that the 4GB variant will be priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 27,800) and 6GB RAM variant will be priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 29,800).

Other leaked speculations suggest, that the phone would likely sport a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of (1440x2560 pixels), backed with Force Touch Pressure sensitivity technology. Powering the phone would be a 64-bit Snapdragon 821 SoC, while the back panel will hold up a dual camera setup with a 23 Mega pixel Sony IMX318 sensor and the other 12 Mega pixel Sony IMX378 sensor. For selfies, the front would likely bear an 8 Mega pixel camera.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is tipped to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8, and support dual-SIM slots (Nano + Nano). It packs a 4100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology, and supports ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded under glass. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE , Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz) MU-MIMO, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity options. A leak also suggests that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro could sport an iris scanner.
