Xiaomi Mi 5 support NFC and dual-SIM functions

Just a couple of days ago, we brought you word that the XIaomi Mi 5 will roll out some time later this February 24th, but other than that, there has been not many details concerning the handset which were revealed for us to know more. This time around, however, it looks like there is additional information which has been shed – and the upcoming Xiaomi flagship device could very well feature dual SIM capability as well as NFC support, as seen in the leaked screenshot that is shown on the right of the story. This screenshot was allegedly revealed by Xiaomi's chairman, Lei Jun, as it shows off the home screen of the device.

Xiaomi Mi5 is roughly a month away. The long-rumored smartphone, which some fans have been anticipating for over a year, is set to launch next month. Now we're being treated to a close-up look at the Mi5 thanks to a leaked photo shared on Chinese social network Weibo.

The elusive Xiaomi Mi 5 is among the most hotly anticipated smartphones at this point. Now, its full specs and pricing details are out in the open.

Leijun reiterated that the Mi5 will finally launch next month following the Chinese New Year. The device is set to pack a Snapdragon 820 chip, along with a fresh metal design and a fingerprint sensor.

China-based Xiaomi has yet to come out with confirmed details about an upcoming flagship. However, speculations have already floated online about the much-rumored and anticipated Mi 5 outing. Apparently, these speculations stemmed out from supposed leaks of the upcoming device.

If the image that surfaced on Weibo is legitimate, it confirms a physical home button. It is believed to house a fingerprint scanner which rumors claim as the "smallest and fastest sensor," according to G for Games . The leaked press render image also revealed its color options of white, black, pink, and gold.

It was just today when we shared some news of the Xiaomi Mi 5. The phone has been leaking out almost everyday now and the launch seems to be very near. And as you would have already guessed, we have got another leak about the Mi 5 in our hands.

Xiaomi Mi 5 rendered images leaked again

New rendered images of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 have appeared online once again. In addition, the smartphones's patent document have also been shared which also show  a patent application for a fingerprint sensor by Xiaomi.

A Weibo user uploaded pictures of the device but took it down shortly after that. One will sport a home button placed below the screen. The device seems to have slim bezels along with a large screen size. It is most likely to sport a USB Type-C port, and speaker on one side of that port and microphone on the other side.

It has been said that the next flagship model from Xiaomi would be known as the Xiaomi Mi 5, and that particular device is certainly not short on mystery, that is for sure. Still, this has not stopped some bits and pieces of it being leaked, such as the front panel, where it is touted to sport a physical home button design that has never happened with a Xiaomi flagship before.  Well, word on the street has it that Xiaomi will introduce NFC connectivity in the Xiaomi Mi 5, something which was missing on the Xiaomi Mi 4.

The Xiaomi Mi 5, the Chinese tech firm's unannounced flagship smartphone, appears to have been teased by the company on its Weibo account late last month.

In the leaked image, the yet-to-be-announced Mi5 is seen sporting a design that looks like a merger of the original Xiaomi Mi 4C and the Xiaomi Mi Note with a bezel-less display quite prominent, along with a metallic frame. The Mi5 is kept in close proximity to Xiaomi's Yeelight bedside lamp. Sadly, that's all the information that comes out of the image.

Xiaomi Mi 5 will be unveiled soon

The wait for Xiaomi Mi 5 is getting painful by the day with its release date remaining a suspense, despite speculations about it doing the rounds since July. However, it looks like the device will be unveiled soon, most probably by the end of this year.

It was reported that the Xiaomi Mi 5 would be unveiled in July before releasing in August. Later, the date was pushed to 24 September but it never happened.
