Xiaomi co-founder and president Bin Lin indicated that Xiaomi Mi5 will be priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 27,000 at the time of launch. However, it was not revealed whether the company will release all three storage variants of the smartphone (32, 64 and 128GB) in the country.

If the 64GB variant of Xiaomi Mi 5 is priced around Rs 25,000, it will be in direct competition with OnePlus 2 and YU Yureka. However, it will have an edge over the rivals due to its superior chipset (Snapdragon 820 vs Snapdragon 810).

Xiaomi Mi5 Pro has a 5.15-inch screen that is 30% brighter. The smartphone is powered by the Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7 custom software; there was no official word on the Android Marshmallow update for Mi 5 at the event. Xiaomi is using UFS flash memory in the new model, which is 87% faster in read-write operations.

According to GizOK, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be up for its second flash sale Wednesday, but not all who have registered for it may get it. Xiaomi India claimed the Redmi Note 3 received 8.5 lakh registrations for the first flash sale that took place March 9. Reports suggested the devices were sold out in no time, but the Chinese company didn't reveal the number of units sold and the time taken.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro is available in gold, silver and dark grey colours, and comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 (around $137) for the 16GB model and Rs 11,999 (around $168) for the 32GB variant. The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop-based MIUI 7.0, a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a non-removable Li-Po 4,000mAh battery.
