Xiaomi never fails to disappoint its loyal fans with amazing specs at great prices. It did the same with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 by providing a fingerprint sensor in this mid-range smartphone. The device has been very well received by the buyers as it didn't burn a hole in their pockets while giving them a premium experience at the same time. It seems that Xiaomi is bringing yet another budget smartphone with a fingerprint sensor. The device in question here is the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 3S.
It looks like another variant of the Redmi 3 but now with new features added and a few changes on the specs. Two phones are listed: a Xiaomi 2015810 and the Xiaomi 2015817. There's no confirmation yet but the two could have 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh batteries, respectively. Making the new variants better is the fingerprint scanner which we all know will allow authentication and more privacy.
We have a new piece of information that suggests that the smartphone will actually be called Xiaomi Redmi 3S and it will come with a fingerprint sensor. According to this new report, the smartphone will look the same as the Redmi 3 and will have similar technical specifications, but it will have a fingerprint sensor, unlike the Redmi 3. Even though there is no information about the exact release date of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S, as assume it will be launched sooner rather than later because it has already received the TENAA certification and we all know that this is the last step a device has to make before being unveiled. Some say that the launch event will take place on the 6th of April, when the company also celebrates its anniversary.
In terms of pricing, expect the fingerprint scanner-enabled Xiaomi Redmi 3 to retail for approximately $122 after conversion, which ain't too shabby for that extra bit of security when you consider how the now vanilla Redmi 3 had a price point that hovered around $105.
