Xiaomi India is very secretive about the sales of its Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which is puzzling considering the fact that it used to give sale details of its past devices, including number of units sold and the time taken before being sold out. The company hasn't revealed the number of units sold in the first and second flash sales.
In terms of specs, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display with Sunlight Display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 4050 mAh battery and runs MIUI 7 with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Available in gold, silver and dark grey colours, the Redmi Note 3 is priced at Rs. 9,999 (around $137) for the 16GB variant and Rs 11,999 (around $168) for the 32GB model. Featuring fingerprint sensor, and comes in two models -- 16GB internal storage with a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with a 3GB RAM.
In India, we've seen competition grow in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 price-band with the K4 Note, the Le 1s all launching in the same price band. The Redmi Note 3 is the latest addition to this segment, combining beefy specs with premium looks.
Xiaomi has also promised the Xiaomi Mi5 launch in India by April, which is less than a month away, but it hasn't provided any detail so far.
