The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 arriving with a dual curved edge screen has been anticipated for some time already, and this time some leaked images online seem to confirm that Xiaomi would indeed be copying paying tribute to the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Mi Note 2 will have a metal frame, as well as a front and back glass display with a fingerprint scanning system embedded in the home button. The device will also have a USB type-C port, a 4G long-term evolution (LTE) with voice over LTE support, and 16-megapixel dual rear cameras. The publication also states that it may use Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is believed to run on either the Xiaomi Mi5 Snapdragon 820 or the new Snapdragon 821 processor chip. The device will also have 6 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM), a 64 GB internal storage, and a 5.5-inch to 5.7-inch screen with a full 2K display.
The mid-range Mi Note 2 will supposedly provide 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage, while the rumored higher-end variant Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will offer the same amount of RAM but gives users access to as much as 128GB of available storage space.
So far, pricing is not yet known for the upcoming Xiaomi flagship - Mi Note 2 or Xiaomi Mi 5S, but because it’s from Xiaomi the device would surely not go north of $650, no matter how impressive its specs.
