We've been tailing the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 for a while now, and it appears we'll soon have something more official to mull over. The device has apparently been approved by China's CCC (3C) authority, and looks set to be launched next week on September 14th. We should hasten to add that it hasn't yet passed TENAA — a prerequisite of the device going on sale in China.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to be Xiaomi’s most powerful smartphone yet. It allegedly features a 5.7-inch Quad HD curved display similar to the Galaxy Note 7, though the company could offer a cheaper flat-screened 1080p model as well. The device might also pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor, dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
With the device being 3C-certified, let's hope it soon passes through TENAA. That way, we'll know if the beastly set of internal hardware is more than just rumor mill bluster. A previous tidbit mentioned that 14th September launch date, while a leaked poster — as seen above — indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro could reach early adopters by September 24th.
